Traditionally, security has been ensured across three domains: land, sea and air. Now, as we face growing challenges, cyberspace and the 5th domain — Space — have become critical to our defense.

We hardly realize that this can only be done having access to the results of years of research and development in space technology. Space for 

Climate

The Space for Climate topic will highlight the critical need to integrate Earth observation data from space with diverse ground-based information, including economic and social data. Only by creating a comprehensive information package, will we deliver the most effective solutions to the pressing global challenges we face.

Emission Monitoring

This track will focus on the role greenhouse gas emissions monitoring plays in exposing the day-to-day occurrences that are aggravating climate change and pinpointing opportunities for targeted mitigation efforts. We will foster collaboration between researchers, governments, and industry to explore innovative solutions for industrial decarbonization, funding opportunities, and citizen engagement in climate action.

Water Management

This track enables all stakeholders involved in the space and water communities to share knowledge on the global water cycles for monitoring and mitigation of the waterrelated hazards – such as floods and droughts, unpredictable precipitation patterns and rising sea levels. This track will focus on demonstrating viable solutions for real-time water quality management and efficient water distribution for food security in water-scarce regions.

Biodiversity

We will explore the impact of climate change on habitats around the world. Experts in space technologies, environmental sciences, legislation, and investment will discuss innovative solutions to protect global biodiversity. Focus will be given to monitoring deforestation, desertification, urban expansion, and migration patterns. Additionally, this track will address the need for mapping and protecting critical habitats, monitoring ocean biodiversity, and developing early warning systems for disaster prediction and response
