Michael Schoellhorn is the CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, overseeing the company's defence, space, and connected intelligence activities. He is also a member of Airbus’ Executive Committee, president of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) and a member of several boards of directors. Previously, Michael was Airbus Chief Operating Officer (COO). He joined Airbus in 2019 from BSH Home Appliances, where he was COO and a Board of Management member. His background includes experience in the automotive and consumer electronics industry. In the German Armed Forces, Michael served as an officer and helicopter pilot. He holds a degree and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Control Engineering.
