Speaker Bio
Christian Trampuz received in 2005 a Telecommunication Engineering master degree from the University of Trieste in Italy. After pursuing for 4 years his PhD at the Delft University of Technology in antennas for radar applications, in 2010 he joined MetaSensing, a Dutch SME developing radar solutions for several applications.
There, he contributed for 12 years to the growth of the company, first as a radar and antenna engineer developing advanced multi-functional front-ends at different frequency bands, and then as project manager and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) coordinating among other activities the development of SAR airborne demonstrators for ESA, in support of candidate missions like OSCAR, KaSAR, Harmony (selected as Earth Explorer 10).
Since 2022 he joined the department of Radar Technology (now Compact Radar Systems) at TNO as Senior Project Manager. Under his leadership, the team has developed a number of real-time radar systems for ISR from UAV (like SeaSpine and MRaISR) and is concluding a feasibility study for a multi-static satellite mission called SwarmSAR.
